Did you know that June 24th is Cat World Domination Day? That sounds a bit ominous, doesn’t it? Is your cute, innocent-looking pet actually plotting against you? Read on as local Carolina Forest, SC vet lists some signs that Fluffy is up to no good.
Ambush
Does Fluffy sometimes hide behind a wall or sofa, and then run out at innocent passerby? This is a strong sign that your feline pal is working on her sneak attack skills!
Training
Kitties are very playful, a trait we often think of as harmless and cute. But what if Fluffy’s playful pounces are actually training exercises?
Sleeping
Fluffy’s napping obsession seems very cute and innocent, but is it really? What if your drowsy pet is just resting up for a big attack?
Kitty Osmosis
Do you sometimes find your kitty on top of your computer, or dozing off on a book or magazine you were reading? This may be your pet’s way of trying to get information. Our feline overlords may very well learn by osmosis!
Manipulation
Does your pet have you trained to feed, pet, or play with her on demand? Does Fluffy only have to meow once for you to fill her bowl or give her a treat? That’s just stage one! Your furry friend is well on her way to being a master manipulator.
The Sphynx
Is this ancient monument actually a relic of Fluffy’s last reign of dominance? It very well may be! There’s quite a bit of evidence to show that cats did have the Egyptians pretty much conquered. Fluffy was considered a divine being back then, and clearly has not forgotten this.
Fluffy’s Plans
What if cats did manage to take over the world? What would they do with it? Fortunately, the planet is too large for Fluffy to bat around. Our feline overlords would probably make small scale changes. Kitties may demand that every home be equipped with cat towers, stocked fishponds, catnip plants, and kitty gardens, as well as an endless supply of toys and comfy beds. You may also be forbidden from moving whenever your cat sleeps on your lap. That actually doesn’t sound too bad, come to think of it. Please reach out to us, your local Carolina Forest, SC vet clinic, for all of your pet’s veterinary care needs. We are here to help!
