Veterinarian
Dr. Allison, Veterinarian
After high school, Dr. Allison went on to attend Clemson University, followed by Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Allison relocated to the Conway area and joined the Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center team of veterinarians. Clinically, she enjoys educating clients and taking on challenging cases. She also has a special interest in dentistry, preventative care, and internal medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Allison lives with her husband, Matt, and their daughter. Dr. Allison currently has three dogs, a cat, and two horses. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians
Chris, Licensed Veterinary Technician
As a young teenager, Chris adored horses and even worked at a large equestrian farm on the weekends. Mucking the stalls, loading hay bales, and feeding and grooming the horses gave her a longstanding respect and compassion for animals, and she always knew that a career in veterinary care would be a great fit. She’s proud to help the area’s pets and animal owners as a Licensed Veterinary Technician!
Chris is originally from Waldorf, Maryland, and began her veterinary journey at Lehigh Community College in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, where she obtained her Veterinary Technician’s license. She completed an externship at a nearby veterinary clinic and began her private-practice career immediately afterward. Chris has been a veterinary professional ever since, and was excited to recently join the compassionate and talented team here at Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center. She’s especially fond of parasitology work and getting to examine samples under the microscope.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys traveling, spending as much quality time with her young granddaughters as she possibly can, and spoiling her own pets at home. She lives with a cuddle-loving lab, hound mix and a poodle Pyrenees. She loves hiking and finding trails where the dogs can run and play.
Lauren, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Lauren has always wanted to make a difference not only in the lives of animals, but in the lives of pet owners as well. For her, serving as an advocate for the earth’s creatures is a dream come true! She couldn’t be more proud to help pets and animal parents daily as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Lauren earned her degree in veterinary applied sciences from Ulster County Community College in upstate New York. Next, she interned at New Baltimore Animal Hospital, where she was offered a position as a Veterinary Assistant after her internship hours were completed. She worked as an Assistant until she passed her board exams and received her Technician’s license a short time later.
After four rewarding years helping pets and owners, Lauren decided to make a change and moved to South Carolina with her husband. She was thrilled to join the team here at Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center in July of 2020, and the rest is history!
When she’s not at work, Lauren loves to spend quality time with her family and pets. She and her husband share their home with two pets: Comet, a cat whose personality grows more every day; a toy-loving Beagle/Pit Bull mix named Boomer.

Veterinary Nursing & Assistants
Kimberly, Veterinary Technician
Kimberly has been caring for animals for as long as she can remember—as a little girl, she would nurse her family pets back to health whenever they got sick. For her, nothing is more rewarding than being able to make a difference in the life of a pet!
When she’s not spending quality time with her family, including 2 dogs and 5 cats, or tending to the needs of animals here at the hospital, Kimberly can be found gardening, crafting, reading, and getting muddy on her four-wheeler.
Kelly, Veterinary Technician Assistant
Kelly first worked in an animal hospital in her home state of New York, learning the ropes of the profession and gaining hands-on pet-care experience with the practice for two years. After taking some time off to raise her daughter, she ventured into other career paths for a time and gained crucial customer-service skills. Kelly and her family relocated to South Carolina a number of years ago, and she was happy to join the Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center team in the spring of 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant.
Kelly has a wonderful daughter and son, and shares her home with three pets: Two Chihuahuas and a goofy Doberman, Soldato.
Client Care
Bonnie, Hospital Manager
Bonnie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Programming, and worked for a number of years in her husband’s printing business after serving in the retail field for a number of years. She moved to this area for a fresh start and decided to take the leap into veterinary medicine.
Around the hospital, Bonnie enjoys meeting new clients and their pets on a daily basis, and she also likes to continue learning new things about the veterinary world.
Most of Bonnie’s free time away from the office is spent with her family and pets. She has an Australian Shepherd, Cody, who follows her around obsessively at home, and three cats. She enjoys being outside and taking long walks.
Emily, Client Care Representative
Before joining the Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center team, Emily spent 3 years working at a local nonprofit animal shelter. There, she quickly moved up the ladder and eventually decided to branch out. She’s spent the last 5 years working as one of our client care representatives. Emily enjoys forming lasting relationships with our clients and being able to help educate pet owners on the importance of consistent vet care.
At home, Emily greatest joy is being a mom to her little girl, Avery. She is also a fur-mom to two rescues – a senior Pointer mix named Ethel and a green-eyed kitty cat named Petunia. In addition to animals, Emily’s other passion is photography. She also enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors – especially if it’s on the beach or river.
Toni, Client Care Representative
Prior to joining the Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center team in June of 2022, Toni worked as a veterinary receptionist at a local animal shelter. Over the years, she’s learned a lot – particularly the importance of preventative care. Her favorite part of the job is watching our younger patients grow into happy, healthy adults.
At home, Toni lives with her husband of nearly two decades. The couple has four children (all girls) and loves spending time together! Their fur family consists of two sweet, loveable dogs named Zeus, Kanan and Hazel. Most of Toni’s free time is spent with her family, going on weekly outings. She also enjoys baking and traveling.
Amy, Client Care Representative
When Amy’s youngest child started school, she decided it was time to go back to work and ended up landing a job as a receptionist at an animal hospital. She loved it so much that she decided to make a career of it!
Amy joined the Waccamaw team in September of 2023, just a few weeks after relocating to the Conway area. Outside of the clinic, Amy lives with her husband and their two furbabies. Her personal interests include going on motorcycle rides with her husband, spending time with her kids, and all things Disney!
