Answer Your Kitty’s Questions

January 15 2018

Did you know that January 22nd is a special day for our feline friends? It’s Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! What do you think your kitty would be most curious about? A local Carolina Forest, SC vet lists a few options below.

Why Do You Make Me Go In The Car?

Visiting us is definitely in your cat’s best interests. However, Fluffy may not exactly see it that way. Kitties don’t understand the benefits of regular exams, vaccinations, and recommended veterinary procedures, such as spay/neuter surgery. They just know they have to go on a ride in a scary machine!

Why Did You Pet Me?

While our feline pals can be quite the little cuddlebugs, they are very particular about when and how they get cuddles. If you pick Fluffy up when she’s not in the mood to snuggle, you may get a look of reproach.

Why Did You Stop Petting Me?

On the other end of the spectrum, we have cats who basically want to be cuddled 24/7. If you have a furry little attention hog on your hands, your lovable little furball may not be happy when you stop petting her.

Why Can’t I Sleep There?

As you have probably noticed, kitties are quite sleepy. In fact, Fluffy can spend up to 20 hours a day snoozing! (Who knows? Maybe looking cute is really hard work.) Cats also like to try out different napping spots. Sooner or later, you’ll find your drowsy pet sleeping somewhere she shouldn’t, such as on top of your table or computer. If-or when-you move Fluffy, you’ll likely get a cute little meow of protest.

Can I Fit In That?

Cats are very curious, and love to check out all of the nooks and crannies of their domains. Keep your furry explorer entertained by offering her empty boxes and paper bags regularly.

Why Did You Steal My Toy?

Fluffy is a predator by nature, and just can’t resist indulging her inner huntress by jumping, pouncing, and biting. However, cats don’t always know what is and isn’t safe for them, so you may find yourself stopping your feline buddy from playing with a plastic wrapper, rubber band, or another potentially-dangerous object. Although we may never answer all your cat’s questions, we’re happy to help with yours. Please feel free to contact us, your Carolina Forest, SC pet clinic, anytime!
